Schulter, a small town located eight miles south of Okmulgee and six miles north of Henryetta on State Highway 62 in Okmulgee county, has an interesting history of population booms beginning in 1903 when coal mining brought many people to the area and then again in1930 during the oil boom. Today the nearly 500 people that call Schulter home, enjoy quiet country living with the convenience of larger cities nearby.
The Schulter school system, home of the Bulldogs, includes kindergarten through 12th grades. Students are active in many activities both academic and sports related.
